Year 12 History students attended the Great War Debate in Barry Memorial Hall this week. The focus of the debate was whether the war on the Eastern Front was a pointer and precursor to later Nazi plans of conquest and genocide. The students that attended were Gemma Sharratt, Kyle Hill, Bryn Cartlidge, Solaman Khan, Ellie Holloway, Seren Rogers, Matthew McNicholas and Bethan Salter. They had the opportunity to listen to leading historians and examine artefacts from the First World War. Several questions produced by the students were addressed by the experts on the panel. It was an enjoyable and memorable evening.
